Labiaplasty, which covers more than half of the genital aesthetic surgeries performed in recent years, is an aesthetic operation that reduces the inner lips and eliminates the asymmetry in patients who come with complaints such as asymmetry, size and sagging in the small lips.

Although labiaplasty surgery is mostly performed for aesthetic concerns, some patients apply to reduce the frequency of frequently recurring vaginal infections and urinary tract infections.

Sagging of the inner lips can be structural and genetic, as well as due to reasons such as rapid weight loss, difficult and traumatic birth experiences. It can cause problems such as pain in sexual intercourse, frequently recurring vaginal fungi and urinary tract infections, as well as a lack of self-confidence in women and problems in sexual intercourse in terms of appearance.

How are genital plastic surgeries performed?

Although both vaginoplasty and laioplasty operations are preferably performed under sedation type anesthesia, lasting around 30 minutes, these operations can also be performed with local anesthesia on the appropriate vulva.
